PRT 610- Risk Management for Parks, Recreation, Tourism & Sport Organizations; Dr. Troy Carlton

If you like legal (and I do) and ethics, you are going to love this class. We focus on finding the right spot on the spectrum to protect our organizations and the people we serve. Internal and external issues are considered. Critical knowledge.

Reflection/Analysis -  Along with marketing, this was the most important courseI took from the perspective of filling in technical knowledge gaps. As our final project we created a risk management plan, which was an entirely rewarding endeavor. However it was an awfully difficult experience for me because I made the entire organization and program up. Looking back, that was a mistake. I could have at least done a risk management plan for the The Commons, which also was a made-up organization but based on something I dream of starting; or I could have looked at a real program in my organization and had something solid to consider.
